ElytraNFT says it is preparing the first NFT collection on Elysium and a native NFT marketplace to trade it on.
Two products announced together is the thing to notice. A collection is content; a marketplace is liquidity infrastructure, and the second is much harder. An empty marketplace with a single collection is a page with nothing to browse, and every chain that launched with one learned that.
It is filed as announced, with an X account and nothing else: no site, no contracts, no mint date. The tiles for sales, buyers, minted and collectors all read empty.
Being first is a real advantage in NFTs and a poor guarantee. The value of “the first collection” on a testnet depends on whether the testnet becomes a mainnet people use, and on whether the mint is priced so that a second collection has room to exist.
