DeFi·Elysium Testnet

Overview

PopPay is aimed at small businesses in South Africa: quotes, invoices and payments, with stablecoin settlement and dollar savings listed as planned.

The market is specific and the reasoning is easy to reconstruct. A South African small business invoices in rand, is paid on terms, and watches its working capital lose value in the meantime; quoting in dollars and settling in stablecoins addresses the second problem directly. That is a real pain, not a narrative.

What the entry has is a description and a founder comment that they have been waiting for something like Elysium. It has no website in the listing, no account, no contract and no date. Filed as exploring.

The dollar savings piece is the one to watch, because it turns a payments tool into a treasury product, and treasury products need custody and regulatory answers that invoicing does not.

For now this is a stated intention from a market that would benefit from the product, which is worth recording and nothing more.

From the directory listing
